Glen Ellyn police arrests robbery suspect

I'll be very curious to see if this is one of our "guests". I have to imagine the folks at PADS get a bit tense when these crimes occur.

Robbery suspect identified

"Glen Ellyn police have released the identity of a man they suspect of trying to rob a 7-Eleven store with a knife. James A. Ingram, 30, of 1205 Cheltenham #1D, Glen Ellyn, is charged with attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery. Police said Ingram was located shortly after they received a report of the incident Thursday night. No one was hurt in the attempted robbery as the employee and witnesses wrestled the knife away from the perpetrator, police said"

This dude is totally one of our own. As a community, I feel as though we need to rally around him and offer our support.

Of all of the James Ingram songs, that's the one you post, Yoss!!

And I expect you to name the movie where that quote is found. Smile

Now, it they could just catch Some Dude, a great deal of crime would come to a screeching halt!

It's always the same guy that stabs, shoots, or provides a beat-down to the folks that end up in the ER with my husband: Some Dude.

I failed in my role as trivia savant, I didn't recall it was in the "40 Year Old Virgin" until you told me. Red Face

BTW, Mrs. Yoss and I saw "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" written by the same team who did 40YOV, very good movie, if you liked 40YOV, you'll like this. I give it a thumbs and until next week the balcony's closed.

1205 Cheltenham is over on the East side of 355. He must have had to walk a long way to get his Glen Ellyn 7-11 fix on, especially when he has one 2 blocks to the east of him in lombard.

The 7 -11 is right next door to the old Holiday Inn...he lived right behind there in those apartments. I believe this is the "Glen Ellyn" that those west refuse to acknowledge and would like to think is Lombard.

I would like to add my vote to gift the area to Lombard.

Glen Ellyn Police have arrested a 30-40 year old male at about 1:15 on Elm Street just east of Western Ave. There were 4-5 squad cars and about eight officers took him into custody.
