Ronkas loves Joni Mitchell.

GE Fan just listened to some Joni Mitchell.

Ronkas and GE Fan have something in common.

We're both lawyers who live in Glen Ellyn.

Lynyrd Skynyrd: He was on the record player during my first slow dance.

Molly Hatchet: I had a crush on her. She could both sing and dance.

Jethro Tull: I always liked him and the way he would sing

Here's an oddity that I didn't know existed. Joni Mitchell performing FMIP with what appears to be a 13 year-old Pat Matheny, a Sans-A-Belt wearing Lyle Mays on....bass (?), and Michael Brecker. Where this occurred...I have no clue. But it was a while ago.

Thankee Empee. It's good to be back. I can tell you all missed me. I'll try to rustle up the old coot. You know he once had a collection of music cylinders the likes of which I ain't never seen before. I think he'd like this here thread...

I haven't been following the board too closely lately, but you do know these are bands, not people, right?

UMM None, if the picture was in color, you would notice Floyd is wearing a pink shirt.

OK, they were originally called The Pink Floyd Sound. They named themselves after two blues musicians Pink Anderson and Floyd Council.

Pink

Couldn't find any clips for Mr Council.

Good things come to those who wait....

okay, I listened to just about everything, but I recall listening to David Lee Roth's Skyscraper album over and over.

When the Doors movie came out in the early 90's I started 'following' them.

Dan,

Didn't Morrison die in 1971? As much as I hate being a smarta$$, how's it possible to follow a dead guy? Just asking.

I was following Val Kilmer.

That is why I put 'following' in quotes...I also didn't follow Led Zepplin until the early 90's...I got all the Doors and Zep albums with one of those BMG 20 cds for $1 specials.

Don't worry Dan, everyone else got it.

BB must have been off his game yesterday...having one's kids unexpectedly repaint your house can do that to a person.

Wasn't Lynyrd Skynyrd the guys' gym teacher when they were young? Spelled slightly different though, but he was a real dude! Jethro Tull was someone too, but waaaay baaack when. Same with Molly Hatchet.... So technically these were people. Just being a Smart A** Wink Just remembering what my brothers told me when I was a young punk...
