Hi, At the risk of sounding silly, I just want to say I LOVE THE SNOW. Yes, it's tougher to get around (welcome to IL) and there's more to shovel (did that this morning). But it's beautiful, and a lot of fun. You should have seen our kids faces when we made snow angels. Haven't done that in a long time.
I realize our CBD isn't always shoveled to perfection, but noting is perfect. All it takes is an early morning walk when the snow is rather sparkly (says my youngest kid) to put it all in perspective. Enjoy your day.
I'm a fan of snow - as long as I know I can sneak away for a few days around the end of February to somewhere warm, just to thaw out a bit. But I'd much rather have a very snowy winter than a rainy one.
The only problem now is that our outdoor Christmas decorations are so buried and frozen to the ground it'll be Easter before we (and by "we," I mean "my husband") can put them away.
Cannes, I agree with you 100%. In fact, just last week I was playing in the snow with my kids. We made a snow man (who kinda resembled Elmo by the time we were done - sans the red coloring), made snow angels, and I buried them both into snow[mer]maids! It was a great time! Then we thawed out with some fantastic hot cocoa (though mine may have been spiked with a litle Mint Bailey's - for flavor)....
Few things can make cranky children stop fighting like a good combined snow man effort
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele
We don't mind the snow, as much as we mind how long it sticks around! If it would snow, stick around for a day or two, then melt, it would be great. But this whole "week after week after week" of snow in my shoes, isn't for us! We're on a flight come Sunday to Naples, FL for a week to invade grandpa/grandma house. Please have the snow melted, flowers blooming, and temps in the 70's by the time we get back! Thanks!!!
PS: But, it does help me justify the expense of having an SUV!
It's kind of a pain to put 2 big rolling cans on the driveway with all this snow. I put them on my side to make it easier for Mrs. Perplexed, but I'm the forgetful one. I'm sure I'll hit them one of these days.

Snow? I loves the snow. So does the missus. In my day, we didn't have all of these newfangled carbon credits and whatnot, and ex-vice presidents flying all over in their fancy aeroplanes, a spouting off a bunch of big words about anthropomorphic whatzits. No. In my day, we had snow. Lots of it. And vice presidents getting into duels at Weehawken.

Eh? What's an inter axe? Is that for splittin' rails?
Come to think of it, me 'n the missus could use some hep down by the swamp, seein' as ol' BM ain't lent a hand in quite a spell. We'd be right grateful for your hep, DT - 'specially before the next big snow. We're runnin' low on fuel...
That goes for all you other smart fellers too, if'n you can stand to set down them Blueberries for a few hours n' get yer hands dirty...
