Anyone else feel the earthquake around 4:35 am or so? Strange...

Yes, I thought I was crazy too - especially when I woke up my husband and he didn't know what I was talking about. I called my parents in Indy. It woke them up too but no problems as a result. I remember the tremor in '87 but it was milder than this one. Pretty bizarre and unsettling sensation.

Yeah, it woke me up. Our poor parrot fell off his perch, he's still a little spooked this morning. Dogs weren't even phased. Cool.

The dog pacing was what woke us up. We didn't realize until about 6 that it had been another earthquake.

I wonder if the residents of the Thursday Night PADS shelter felt the quake?

As difficult as it is to realize this, we can and do have earthquakes in the midwest. earthquakes

Woke us and the cats up at 4:38. The news was all over it 10 minutes later. Finally got back to sleep and was again jolted out of bed by one of the aftershocks at 10:15am.

We also had an earthquake here 5 years ago in the late afternoon. That one wasn't a trembler/roller like yesterday - more of a bang as I recall. Also felt the '87 quake.
