Middle: Could we have the teachers union chart of contributions to the other politicians? I am sure many who were voting yes to school vouchers received contributions.
Jombl: Could you also quote someone who is the head of a union in the last, oh, 25 years and is not dead for 15 years? I note that you don't mention that when Gerald Ford was telling New York to drop dead, the teachers union led by your speaker was investing in municipal bonds to help the city.
I know you think that teachers should be "at will" employees. Just a little balance with the disdain. Please.

I agree, RMK. I was not so much concerned with the money coming from the Unions, they'll send money to anyone they think will win a seat. I was more concerned about Pihos voting no to begin with.

Hi, That's right MI87. It's not about the teachers union, or campaign contributions. It's about addressing a problem that is not going away unless we do something about it. If we really care about preventing crime, we might want to address the fact that many of the perpetrators are kids, KIDS who are without an education, and without a role model in their lives. Giving them a chance to attend a better school addresses a heck of a lot more than just the academics. I would love to hear why Ms. Pihos didn't back up this idea. This message has been edited.
