Everyone has struggled at some point with New Year's Eve plans....do we spend ridiculous amounts of money on a hotel/party package? Do we host a party with friends? Do we stay home with the kids? These are questions that have plagued everyone, regardless of demographics.
I've created some traditions with my kids, one of which is rotating years between having a "party" with them or going out with friends and celebrating our own NYE on another night. As a result of this arrangement, this is my year to stay in with the crib midgets. We shall dine on cheese fondue and S'mores, make TONS of noise while adorned in silly party hats and plastic leis, and wet our pallettes with the fine flavors of Welch's Sparkling Grape Juice....
Thus brings me to my question (FINALLY, I know)....
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele
Other: taking the kids along and meeting friends at some "fancy" bowling alley in Northbrook called Pinstripes for dinner and a couple of games of bowling of course. Never been there before - should be fun.

Sounds like fun! A friend of mine really digs Pinstripes. He says it's a blast, though he claims it holds a mildly pretentious aura....you'll have to let us know your opinion on it.
