Sorry, just another forum to inject CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN! CUBS WIN!

1) Last movie night of the season! Send an email to dennisabm@earthlink.net to RSVP for tomorrow night's show and get directions.

2) We are thinking that it would be great fun to have a TAILGATE PARTY and BEARS GAME on the Jumbotron. Let us know if you would be interested for Sunday, November 18th...tailgate would start at 6PM-ish, kickoff is 7:15PM.

See you under the stars!

That's a great movie. This whole concept sounds fun, Hubby. Keep us abreast of your schedule next year. If I'm still alive...I'll be stopping by.

If you haven't seen this movie, be aware of its adult themes - suicide, depression, drug abuse. A dark comedy. If your kids like Steve Carell in "The Office", they will not like this movie.

Well....they might like it. But they probably shouldn't.

addendum to above post: If your child is practicing that whole "emo" thing, they will like this movie a lot.

Elmo?

My kids LOVE Elmo and I don't think they would like this film. Just a hunch.

Emo, elmo, potAto, pata-toe...I'm lmao!

Anyway, we are taking suggestions for next season...we try to alternate between "adult friendly" and "kid friendly" titles.

Thanks!
Dennis

Just for fun, go to urbandictionary.com. Also youtube has a hilarious "Tickle me Emo" ad parody I think posted from Mad TV.

heard these on the radio last week:

How many Emo kids does it take to screw in a light bulb?. One to replaces it, and two to write a poem about how they miss the old one.

Did you hear about the Emo pizza? It cuts its self.

If a blonde and an emo kid jump off a building at the same time who dies first?
A: The blonde. She drowns in the emo kid's tears.

My kids absolutely loved this movie. They were 11 and 13 when they saw it. And, as they told me last night "There's nothing I am going to hear that I don't hear on the Hadley bus." Most of the wit will go right over the heads of any younger kids.

Men, please take note of the father's choice of dress in this movie. And cringe to know that we look like that.

Proud hubby -

We love your outdoor Christmas decorations! My kids get so excited when we drive by the Christmas TV - was that Casper the Friendly Ghost I saw on the screen?

Nice job!

Thanks...glad your kids like it! I hated to have the projector sit in the closet all winter like a misfit toy, so the Christmas Theater was born!

Yes, that's Casper...and we have some Grinch, Tom & Jerry, the Coca-Cola holiday polar bears, the Norelco Sledding Santa and the last 9 minutes of "It's A Wonderful Life" on the endless loop DVD. I'll be adding Charlie Brown and Rudolph in a couple of days!

Happy Holidays!

PS The backyard theater will be back in full swing next spring, hopefully with new features thanks to Santa. Send an email to dennisabm@earthlink.net to be added to our emailing list for dates.
