Is there such a thing in the town? I just tried to go for a walk and it was like walking through a jungle. Who do I call to say it's not working?

It's brutal this year, the rainy July has been a big contributor.

Those things are EVERYWHERE this year! Newton Park was CRAWLING with them last night....of course the mounds of standing water over there couldn't have hurt at all....

You should see the muddy lake at Memorial Field. That might cause some problems.

Trucks sprayed a couple of weeks ago at 3 a.m. Then we had flash flooding.

Treat your gutters and french drains. Check any puddle. I left a shovel laying face up by the garage. It was filled with water and mosquito spawn.

Pray to the sun god.

Never mind. Bring out the chemicals already. I got two mosquito bites this morning standing in the lobby of J&S.

We tried going for a walk the other night too. 2 minutes in, we both got bit, bad! We kept walking thinking it was a fluke.
7 minutes into it, we found ourselves running back to the house. RUNNING!

I received the worst bite in years on my knuckle. It's been three days. It's still swollen, itches, and makes me want to cut my hand off.

Bacillus thuringiensis. (BT)
I think Ace H has it now though I've bought it for years on-line. Gutters, ponds, etc. Less mosquitoes.

How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year,
Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

Our house, too! Does this work? And for how long before the swarms attack again? Smile

Just also hit my neighborhood a few minutes ago. It drove past three times actually. Our mosquitos are extra tough to kill I guess.

I do "feel" better. Not getting bit too much and I'm outside typing this.

The welts on my arms and legs suggest that last week's spraying was a bit like fighting a fire with a Dixie cup.

Did you know that in 1919 the Health Kup became the Dixie Cup, named for a line of dolls made by Alfred Schindler's Dixie Doll Company in New York. Success led the company, which had existed under a variety of names, to change its name to Dixie Cup Corporation and move to Easton, Pennsylvania.

The things I learn on this board.

I agree the mosquitoes are fierce. They are attacking in broad daylight.

Do you have a headache, rash, swollen glands, fever? Perhaps your strange behavior/posts should be looked into. The mosquitos are bad. I know someone who just lost her dog to encephalitis.

OK, it is 11pm, it is about to rain, and the LOUD bug man is outside our house spraying his bug killer, waking everyone up in my house! Thanks for that! Good timing too, given the radar shows storms moving in soon... Geezz
