Perplexed's snow tip of the day... Spray cooking spray on your shovel and the snow will glide right off it.

Looking forward to the simpleminded who don't know how snow is made say "Guess that proves 'global warming' is a hoax!" for our first blizzard in over a year.

Wow, didn't take long for this thread to go political.

What's the line in Vegas on whether this Snowtorious B.I.G. ever happens . . . or doesn't?

The Yossarian compound has been secured. A week's worth of food and water are stored in the below ground bunker. Fresh batteries are in the radio so we will know when it's safe to come out.

And remember-If your a lootin', I'm a shootin'. See you in the Spring.

I'm thinking I should put my 15 year old acrid smoke belching snowblower up for sale on Craigslist for a couple grand!

I just hope Pig Daddy will be alright.

What would GE do without the annual GE Backyard BBQ this September on Willis street?

Another snow removal tip: spray PAM into the chute of your snowblower to prevent the snow from jamming the chute.

Much better than losing a finger or two clearing the chute with your hand...

Howdy, that will work. I used it this morning on the shovels. I used WD40 on the snow blower.

It also works great on my morning scramble! The olive oil spray, not the WD40.

I don't care how much it snows, but I will keep up my personal mantra:

don't lose power, don't lose power . . .

Just looked outside; I don't think there's any doubt about this now.

Love the Pam on the shovel trip, though. Will definitely try it while out with Proud Hubby - who refuses on some weird misguided sense of honor to buy a snowblower - shoveling.

I had two literary events cancel because of this puppy. (Not Scotty's puppy, of course - the Second City Snowmageddon.) It'd better snow a buttload.

Oh, it's started. I should raise the price on the snowblower.
