Sojka. He brings a lot of offense out of the ad court. We took down Walker and Cummins this morning, 7-6 5, 4-6 and 7-5. Afterwards Walker's racquet "slipped" out of his hands about a dozen times. I think he'll need a new one.

i spent all of it trying to navigate the unbelievably difficult intersections of:
1) SE five corners: spring, hill, whittier, hillside 2) crescent ct. and crescent (westbound no less!) 3) park and crescent 4) park and hawthorne 5) then doubling back and narrowly escaping with my life at riford and oak.
it was harrowing and exhausting. but with the extra hour, at least not time-consuming.
We have an under mount sink and slate counter tops. For some reason, the clear silicone caulk turns black every other year. I don't know if it's the stone or the metal or the combo of the two...but it seems to breed mildew. Although it is a very common problem, it's something to think about if you are ever invited over to dinner at my house. Very alarming, very disgusting, very unpleasant (the mildew...not the food I prepare). So I cut it out, apply a bleach mixture, and scrub away.

Is this to say that granite, quartz, etc. don't assume room temperature? Are they magic rocks or something?? Being from the coveted YMCA laminate kitchen District, inquiring minds want to know.
If nobody else has experienced mildew on the caulk around their under mount sink, I'll eat the caulk next time I pull it off. It is why I kick myself repeatedly over not getting a farmhouse sink.
Wow, I've wanted an under the counter sink, but I may have to rethink that. I have trouble with water that collects between the back edge of the sink and the wall behind the sink. I can't keep the caulk clean back there, no matter how much I wipe and clean. Maybe the farmhouse sink is the only solution. Thanks for the info.
I have never had a problem with our undermount sink. However, if I did I would use the Tilex for mildew that I always use on our porcelain tile on the walls, floor, and bench in our shower. Tilex works faster than bleach and only needs to sit on a surface for a minute or so. It is great stuff!

I heard this was especially an issue for folks who used hoity-toity custom order tiles in their backsplash... Something about lead and heavy metals leaching out. I think a little discoloured grout is likely the least of your problems, my friend.
Menards has really neat one piece sinks, almost like a sloping hill on both sides, bottom is somewhat flat. Very functional. Very similar material to Swanstone. Oh course, you could get those fashionable bowl sinks or even use old treated pots and/or buckets that are antiques. Seen that in some houses. Just gotta watch what drops out of your medicine cabinet. Those glass and porcelain sinks chip awfully fast.
