Think I'll tell my neighbors that have wandering cats that they may not want to let wander.....That's a gorgeous coyote though.

Not my yard. Ironically, it is the yard of a landscaper...and it is always pristinely landscaped and manicured. Like I said, it was a bad picture...apparently for more than one reason. Nelson - that thing was shockingly big....agree?

Very accurate! It was her yard. And the neighbors do have little dogs...that bark a lot. They came away unscathed.

Well it's feeding on some little dogs or squirrels somewhere. I've seen foxes running on the sidewalk on Hill Ave. Even saw it get into a bunny hole and run off with a bunny. Yuck.

At what point did it move and leave? I am surprised it didn't take off when the flash went off.

It finally ran away as I was moving closer to get extra shots. Apparently, it ran into the backyard and hung out on the back deck...giving the homeowner quite a surprise when she looked out the back window.

I bet a couple of those would look mighty nice on the Mrs. and just in time for Christmas no less. Can I say Christmas on this BB?

Candidate is losing PETA votes like crazy! I heard they are now going to withdraw their endorsement.
Is coyote a good fur though? I know a guy with a wrist rocket and a pellet gun...maybe I can use his "weapons" and get me a 'coon and coyote...Those should make the Missus happy.

I have seen some of your shots. The only real fear the poor thing had was the fear of laughing to death.

wow, that is by far the biggest coyote i've seen in town to date. maybe we can lure it down to the ppp to scare off mcsmokes and humpty dumpty. on the other hand, that's just replacing one species of homeless for another.

There's a family of them living somewhere near us. I've spotted one lurking under the car several times, but never even came close to getting a shot off. It took driving 1,500 miles to finally bag one, and it allowed me to get 20+ decent pictures off before it finally scampered back into the woods. Full-frame shot. Walked right up to us. Together, our group probably has over 1,000 shots like of this guy. BTW, JR, my Canon did fine with this coyote. Maybe you're camera is OK, but your coyote has something wrong with it?
