You know, I am the mom of two children. While mine are still rather young (10, and 12) I am perplexed at how many kids are allowed out after 10 with no supervision. You may think your kids are just out being "kids". But let me tell you, we just had an incident that could have led to tragedy. Our door bell kept ringing a short time ago. Our dogs went nuts, and I finally went out to investigate. I was frightened, as I walked our property to see who had rung the bell. As I walked my front walk, several boys sprung from my bushes near my house all screaming and laughing. I thought my heart would jump from my chest! All I could think was what if I was a frightened homeowner with a weapon? What if I had let the dogs out with me, and they bit one of these boys? Who is allowing there kid out after 10 unsupervised? What are you thinking? Why don't you know what your kid is doing? This is how horrible things happen. Shame on all of you who would be the first to scream bloody murder if your child was hurt during such a stupid prank.
Or even worse....what if they did this and an elderly person, or just someone with a heart problem came to the door? They could've killed someone, let alone being hurt themselves.
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele
Just dial 911. That's why we have a police dept. Although I hate to admit it. . . . . they do a Great job and actually do more than just wait around waiting for someone to roll a stop sign!
