Grand Marshal Nominations

The Glen Ellyn 4th of July Committee is seeking Grand Marshal nominations for its annual 4th of July Parade. The selection committee will consider things such as each candidate’s community service involvement, volunteerism and leadership. The nominations must include background information on each candidate. Please include the name, address and telephone number of the nominator. If she is involved in the committee, most likely she is from the Smith's no where near the YMCA.

Still taking nominations. Not many people have replied through the web site, so we are looking for more nominees!

Not from the YMCA, Dawn. But in the posh YMCA District of Glen Ellyn. It's the fashionable area in which I and the rest of the wine and cheese set reside. Other leading citizens include DTM, Side of Fry's, and Perplexed.

Sometimes we have drunken women stumbling home from the bars in the dead of winter. But for the most part, it's the premier neighborhood in our fair Village.
