Downtown Chicago is in better shape than.....uh......most western suburbs. Not referring to any suburb in particular.

BTW, do not confuse panhandlers with the homeless. It's a job. Those guys probably live better than I do.

People can find numbers to prove anything. I will say that on a recent three-day visit in downtown Chicago that it did cross my mind that the homeless/panhandler population in our fair village was a much more visible (among other things) presence than I saw in the city.

The gentleman that sits at Einstein's every morning was very clean cut today. His hair was combed, including his chest hair. Someone needs to teach the fella to button the shirt. I am sure the 6 year olds find him drop dead SEXY baby. He was not smoking when I went to pick up to cheddar and bacon's at 8.
