Walking north on Park, your "good neighbors" to the N and S have their sidewalks nice and clear - but yours is untouched. Your new driveway is nice and clear for your drivers - how about you be as considerate of the pedestrians?

No shoveling was done under the Taylor St bridge either.

Hey, are you channeling Fish? Razz

You realize, don't you, that the village owes all of the sidewalks, including those of the "good neighbors."

Exactly how much does the Village "owe" these sidewalks? Wink

What part of "no" don't you understand?

Would you believe that was intentional - a clever ploy to draw you into this discussion?

(Nah - I didn't think you'd buy that!) Wink

Yes, I know. I was channeling the CBD sidewalk shoveling thread.

I went for a run on Sunday morning and observed that the school didn't shovel the side street (Hillside?) either. I was dismayed.

Has anyone called them and asked them to do it? Might be more effective than posting it here.

At the risk of sounding like Swampdawg, as a youth, I used to go door to door with my trusty shovel and ask if I could shovel their walk for a modest fee. I made some decent dough and bought many a model airplane kit with the proceeds.

Have some of the pudgy, slacker youth of today considered such an enterprise? I know not in my neighborhood. Confused

I was mostly surprised that none of the students' parents asked them to. I figured at least a few of the families might walk to drop off or pick up?

Sure might. Of course, if I were new to a location after much-publicized charges that I would not be a welcome neighbor, I might try to anticipate such things myself. They obviously remembered to plow their driveway...

On the outside chance anyone associated with the school happens across this - here's a heads up. That green stuff outside your building - we call it grass, and it's gonna need to be mowed periodically as well come warmer weather. (Just thought, since the idea of shovelling their sidewalks is apparently foreign to them ...)
