That would be awesome, Dins....Lucas, License to Drive, Fast Getaway, Dream a Little Dream, Prayer of the Roller Boys, and Lost Boys....
Just looked him up on imdb and apparently he'd recently finished New Terminal Hotel, American Sunset, and Decisions....was in the process of filming The Dead Sea....and was slated to film Ratred 3D, The Throwaways, The Science of Cool, A Detour in Life, and SAD (Standard American Diet)....all slated (save for the first two in 2009) to be released this year.

Such a sad and tragic path for someone who had all the potential to go the distance. Sadly, I knew one of the guys who helped put this kid on the self destructive path he's followed for 20+ years, a former body guard from the late 80's, and a set designer. Dream A Little Dream was filmed in Wilmington, NC, before my time there (1995). However, I heard several stories of the drug abuse on that shoot, and the body guard and a certain set designer introduced the boys to the hard stuff, for which one couldn't shake loose from. Nobody knew whatever happened to the body guard, but the set designer was black-balled from the lot and the local industry for quite some time. I met him in 97' on a film. He was making his way back into the fold, until it was discovered that he was snorting the candy with Billy Baldwin and China Phillips on the armrest of their rented Suburban in the back lot of the studio. The production company was not all too impressed, and is one of the reasons why you haven't heard much from Billy since then. I believe the production studio deducted the price of the SUV from his pay check, because there was no way they could run the liability risk of selling it after the movie. Don't really want some lawyer coming back to sue Paramount with "is that your cocaine residue the cops found in my clients car?" Not exactly the kind of attention you want. I ditched the movie business shortly thereafter for two reasons. 1, too many drugged out wierdos, and 2, I wanted a family life that wasn't possible in that kind of working environment. Divorce rate is way too high.
Yeah, I believe the bodyguard and set designer you're referring to were briefly alluded to by Haim in the reality show the guys had a stint with. It really was a sad, sad life that he struggled with.
I thought China Phillips was off the nose candy? Or was that just a brief stint as well?

Yeah, I saw some that show too. Thought it was tragic in a sense.
To clarify a couple of things in my earlier post that seem confusing to me on a re-read. The film was filmed in the late 80's, I got to Wilmington in 95'. The set designer was the one in the SUV, not Haim. That movie was Virus, which went over as such at the box office too. Ba'Bombs-away!
Who knows what the Phillips family does these days. The whole clan seems to be messed up one way or the other!
But back on topic, I think Lucas would be a nice thing to do!
