As I am disappointed I will not be able to attend this evenings events, please be aware of multiple speed traps south of Roosevelt on Park. If you plan on taking Park down to the event, beware, GE's finest line up down Park..

Have a great time tonight everyone!!!!

I had a great time!!! Finally got to meet Dins, which was a real pleasure. I'm a big fan of good meat and the corned beef was awesome, lean yet fork tender!

Candidate, you do know that smoking corned beef with a bit of extra pepper yields pastrami, don't you? Just throwing it out there for next year, that's all. I also loved the entertainment too. Like I have said in the past, Candidate knows how to do it up.

IIRC, you actually sat next to your "date". Wink
But I will gladly accept any compliment flung anywhere near my vicinity, and send you a hearty "Same back atcha!"

Truly enjoyed meeting and speaking with Yoss, Ohma, the inimitable Mr. Kas, bb, Ruydah, assorted spouses - and I'll stop right here admitting that I'm undoubtedly missing several people. Especially thanks to Bob S for putting up with my inexcusable grilling over the schools at an ostensibly social occasion.

I only wish me and the missus weren't such lightweights needing to call it so early.

Ooh - one other regret - if only there had been more bagpipe!

Man, I wish I had a coupla slices of brisket twixt that nice dark bread right about now...

Damn fine party you put on, Pete!

Technically you are correct (but close enough), which by the way, is a sore spot with the Mrs. She intended to come after Ben Franklin's Fun Fair, which kept her occupied until around 9pm. But, I had originally thought Candidate's party ended at 9pm, so we agreed that there was sense for her to come. Subsequently, we learned that the party lasted until midnight, but only after I had already invited my neighbor. My bad! He did make an awesome date tho. Not once did he ask me how he looked and I almost never had to get up for a beer. Wink

It was great meeting you all in person. Nice for the spouse to meet all of the great people with whom I have spent many hours on the BB. (And what a generous group we had to turn our table of 10 into 11.)

Thanks, Candidate, it was the highlight of my week.

Hi,

Mr. Coveted said it was a very fun party indeed. Wish I could have been there. By the time I was heading over to join him, it was after 11:00pm. We'll both be there next year.

BTW - he really enjoyed learning more about the D41 school board. You know what I mean, Candidate. Smile
