Are you folks talking about the ladesic political fundraising benefit? I think that is being sponsored by Go Downtown as they are the group that sent me an invitation to join you fine people. I did not realize that Go Downtown was the political arm of the vote for ladesic society. Is this a tax deductible event? Will the entire village board be in attendance or only lee and armstrong? Smile

Hi gotrocks - glad to see you received the invitation! To clarify, Go Downtown! is not sponsoring the party, however the invitation was sent to all members of Go Downtown! for a few reasons. One being that most of the members of Go Downtown! would like to see change happen in the Village. Therefore, the members are a great fit for Pete's fundraiser. Secondly, Go Downtown! hopes to educate residents who wish to get involved with the Village on how to get involved, whether it be by the Civic Betterment Party or as an independent. In fact, the group is working on having the Civic Betterment Party come and speak at an upcoming meeting. Finally, Pete has supported Go Downtown! in many ways, and sending the invitation out to the members is the least we can do for him.

With that said, I am in next Friday as well, +1.

Hi,

Mr. Coveted will be there. I will join him later, as I had a prior commitment. Sounds like a fun event!

The yigo92's will not be in attendance. We finally have a date! We have been trying to get something on the calendar for over a month and have finally found an evening that works for us.
We hope we can make the next BB event.

Actually, I have played it. Had a group of friends in high school that were really into it and I joined them a few times. It was fun but not necessarily my top pick. Nonetheless, I apprecaite the creativity that game takes - much more than most games.

Me, I'll likely be in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.

With all those attending at the top of the list I certainly hope there is more than the usual 4 corners in that room. Razz

Sorry but from reading the GD website, how does promoting an individual’s private political fundraising support “ the health and vitality of Glen Ellyn’s downtown business district.”? Heck he doesn’t even have the courtesy of hosting the event in Glen Ellyn. I wonder how much the Village of Lisle, home of the arboretum, will be making off of the sales tax from this event?

I got tired of typing in so many letters when logging in. I'm thinking of shortening it some more to just "g".

I feel your pain.

As you can tell, I don't like typing either.

I had to google that reference. Your nerd card is hereby acknowledged, with reverence, sir.

Don't you guys have AutoComplete for forms activated?

Anyway, I would counsel you to keep the JL. Has a much more snooty air. Befits the Peterman-esque avatar.
