Do you have a campaign advisor that recommends that you announce to the world that you have enough votes and people don't need to vote for you anymore?

Candidate, was misquoted. The press is out to get him. He has the most experience. The populace is biased against builders. Can we talk about the issues please? Next question.

I am sure there will be more by the next time I need any votes.

Heck we might even be friends by then and I could get your vote. Na

C'mon now this is a family show.
I thought your wife was on bed rest. She looks great. You can hardly tell.
Does the girl in the middle have a glock sticking out from her skirt? What is that thing?

I don't think it's hate. More like difference of opinion. I think this town thrives on DOO. If everyone were alike, we wouldn't have had this argument in the first place. That would have been a shame. Everyone thinks their way is the best and will try their darndest to convince others of it. Got ain't no different. I don't hate Trustee Norton...don't know the man...most likely is a top-shelf guy...just don't like that he wasted a seat on the village board if he didn't want it.

You cited everything else. Please show me where I said that? I would appreciate facts and quotes, rather than your editorial on my quotes.

Here's the interchange I was summarizing:

I just think that those who are participating in the CBP system, are going to accept the results of the CBP system - for better or worse.

So what about that quote suggests me saying "screw 'em". I just find it highly entertaining that you had access to this quote and chose to editorialize my comments as "screw em" rather than post what I wrote. Juxtaposed next to everything I wrote on the topic, I hardly said "screw em." But you knew that...it just didn't have the same effect.

And why should any organization give out legal advice. If people have an issue with the repercussions of their actions, shouldn't they consult their own people. Obviously, my advice (guess) was wrong...that would have been something to rely on. Roll Eyes

The facts remain that you most certainly can run as an independent even if you do not get the shoulder tap my the CBP.
I was told both by the CBP President and the Chairman of their nominating committee that I could not but then found out from the Illinois Department of Elections that I could definitely run.

The two comments (i.e. "...nor do I think they should be." and "...don't mean my prose to suggest that this fact is intentionally hidden.") can be read as mutually exclusive. That is, you don't think the CBP intentionally hid the requirements, but you also think, in your opinion, screw em. That's why I didn't include it.

It’s not hate. With the setup that he left me I just had to do it.

One thing I learned from all the big time serial posters on this board is be careful with your words. Get one or two of them in the wrong place and it’s like getting hit skating thru center ice with your head down. Somebody’s gonna pop you and try to separate your head from your body, why, just cause they can.
