What time was it? Mr. Klok told me they had Roosevelt blocked off and were escorting a gentleman to a squad car in the Jewel parking lot around 3ish. Probably not related since it wasn't close to the tracks. Busy day for GE's finest.
For the third time in as many weeks, the gates have acted up (actually down) at Main Street crossing. GEPD were out to re-route traffic between noon and 3pm., Norton was directing traffic for quite a while at Duane and Main. No information on why this keeps happening, anybody?
I was in there about 3:20. Didn't notice/see a thing, so whatever it was must have happened pretty quickly.
Also was downtown most of the afternoon handing out posters for the Bag Toss Tournament on Sunday, October 5. I didn't see anything with the gates around that time. I was there from 2-3:15. I did hear some guy talking about Chief Norton being in the street, at least now I know why.
The trains have been stopping in the CBD at least two times a week for the past four or five months.
Sometimes it just a couple of minutes, but it stops blocking most of the north/south traffic from park to hill where it (hill) crosses the tracks in Wheaton.
Today it was stopped blocking everything west of main st. and triggering the gates at main. Cops were there to keep knuckleheads from crossing and getting whacked by another train.
Wonder if the village can do anything about these frequent staging stops?!

Hey! I got my eye poking guy back!! Yea! Did you put him back Mr. Ted? If so thanks! I couldn't find a copy to return after I changed it in honor of Mr. Clams demise from the BB.
Boy I'm really starting to miss him!
Bet he comes back as Mr.Potts?
