Where'd you get that big check? I've always wanted one of those.

Oh, Costco has good hot dogs.

Congrats and welcome to the club! I have an '04 WRX wagon. Did your hubby get the 5 door version? It has been a blast to drive in this kind of weather...

I can honestly say I've never seen her show, and I'm a woman. Maybe because I have a job? I know what she looks like and I've seen her act, which by the way is fantastic, I wish she would act more. Never seen her talk show.

What's not to love?

Oprah ruined television by being the co-inventor of trash TV and the term "attention whore" was invented to describe her. She will hold a press conference to let the world know she gave a homeless man a dollar on lower wacker last week. Rumor has it her right shoulder can dislocate so she can constantly pat herself on the back for all the great things she does and will be the first to tell you that she did them. She has spent more time in one hour promoting how charitable she is than Mother Theresa has told anyone ever in her entire life. Millions of people are more caring and charitable than Oprah is, they just do it the right way and never promote that they are doing it.

The Bible reads: "When thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: that thine alms may be in secret..." Meaning "don't do something good with publicity in mind".

Can someone please let Oprah know this.

If by "5 door", you mean the four-door with hatchback, yes. He really likes driving it. He's not fond of the seat comfort though. Have you heard of any good sources for aftermarket car seats? He'd probably only replace the driver's seat....or even if anyone can recommend a product that provides more support for the lower back. He'd like to not sit "down in" the seat quite as much as he has some hip pain after long shifts standing.

It seems as if there might be insurance and warranty issues if you change factory installed seats in a vehicle. I'm sure someone here knows about that . . . . Smile

I used to love Oprah. I still like her though I agree that she can be an attention hog. I do appreciate that sometimes she hosts very meaningful shows. As a counselor, some of that stuff is really helpful to others. I try to ignore all of her extra "exploits" except her acting. I do think she is a good actress.

I like Ellen so much! She is a RIOT! Yes, there is a ton of product placement (which does not affect my purchasing at all) but she has some truly hysterical bits and also some really touching ones.

I love pizza. I am always trying to make my own so I can control the caloric package a bit better. Pizza really can be good for you if you:
1. Use a whole wheat or at least wheat enriched, thin crust.
2. Use as much sauce as you want.
3. Load it with veggies and almost no meat.
4. Go easy on the cheese.
5. Serve it with a healthy salad or other green veggie (I love spinach and asparagus, personally).

So, that's my sharing for today! Smile

So I went to the Subaru site just to check it out… I have never seen so many options on a car!! I swear it has 100’s of options. Just for the heck of it I selected every option and I was able to make a base price of $17,400 go to $27,650.

Nice car, little small for carrying people in my back seat.

Speaking of small cars, has anyone put a deposit on a Smart Car? They are very cool!

Perplexed, if you want to come over and check out ours, I'm telling you - the backseat is NOT small. LOTS of headroom too - as I recall, you're a tall guy. Your daughter can tell you where we live. Smile

someone across from our office has one, in yellow. Seems cool, until an Escalade runs you over.

If you would like to hear my run in with Oprah, let me know. It is quite long.

I have not heard of aftermarket seats. By 'down in' do you mean because the seats have bolstering on the sides so it feels like you are sunk in? Or does he want to sit up higher...if that is the case the car has two handles on the left. One that acts like a 'jack' to raise and lower the seat height, the other reclines the seat. Try 'jacking' the seat higher.
