Maybe the park dist. should ask Public Works how to make Ice? Save all the money from the bi-pass pipe project.

One thing that I was stunned to find out last night is that the village spent $782,000 to "beautify" Five Corners. Now I am not certain if this beautification has happened, or if it will happen. If it has happened, there should really be one pissed-off "anonymous" donor. That area looks like @ss.

Clearly, $782,000 doesn't buy what it used to. Even Walgreen's did a horrible job maintaining their landscaping this past summer. I'm pretty sure the workers were unable to tell what was a weed and what was not. There were weeds higher than my head.

I think it bought the retro looking street lights, side walks on the north side of Main, brick walks on the south. Nothing on the "wow" scale but it is a subtle improvement. Carpe Diem |
