So Amy, Does Drew Peterson resemble the Cowardly Lion in person as much as in print? Ick - did your skin crawl??

BTW, Amy...just re-read one of your posts. I find it shocking that you cannot recommend a Chrysler product to any of us. Expensive to own? You must be joking! Wink

Who would win in a race-Superman or The Flash? No flying allowed.

Do I win anything if it is the most popular? Something like the complete works of Billy Ray Sirus?

Chuck Norris doesn't shave his beard, he grinds it down with a sander.

His son is a good wrestler. Can’t be easy to be his kid.

So, we travel in the same circles, eh? My daughter is one of the scorekeepers for the wrestling team and we had to go pick her up yesterday. We stood by the doors out of the gym near the end of the meet and he walked past me. I thought, "Boy, that poor guy looks like Drew Peterson. HOLY CRAP! It IS Drew Peterson." CREE-PY!

While we were waiting for Daughter to be done, Son was in the stands with the wrestlers he knew from last year. The guys told him to look for the guy, but Daughter seemed blissfully unaware.

I agree that it must be terrible to be his kid. The only worse thing...being his wife.

Amy,

No need to buy me wine, I am glad it cost you only $45 for that repair.

We had all 4 regulators go out on a Nissan Maxima we used to own. Had the windows gotten stuck in the up position (closed), there is no way I would have spent the coin to fix 'em. Those suckers are very expensive.

Yoss, I like your post. We can always use more good folks in the party. Very funny!

Could someone give me a lesson on how to post a picture directly to a reply on this BB? I have no problem posting links, but have tried several times to post a photo, by copy/paste, cut/paste, with no success. I apologize in advance for my inadequate IQ.

When you click "Reply", you will get a tool bar at the top. Left click on the second box from the right, it looks liks a mountain scene. Then you paste the image URL in the text box.

You cannot cut and paste photo's, you need to have an image URL. Hope that helps.

Yossarian,

Thanks for the reply. I tried, but am still challenged. What do I type into the URL box when I click on the mountain scene? Do I first save the picture to my computer somewhere?

Thanks!

The quickest way is imageshack image shack

Otherwise, something like Geocities works too.

Glen Ellyn's Superman, or the comic book/TV/Movie one?

Yoss, I am more socially liberal than fiscally conservative so that's why I end up voting Democrat so often. And I really don't mind taxes to a certain point - I mean, we get schools and colleges, roads and highways, miltary and police/fire protection, CDC, FBI, CIA, diplomatic envoys, US Embassies, etc....the list goes on. So on one hand, I'm happy to pay it BUT when you finally start to really get ahead and jump up a bracket, you get seriously WHACKED.

I don't want to say much as revealing income is uncouth and just not appropriate in a forum like this. It just seems that unless you're filthy rich, you don't have much tax code in your favor and if you're dirt poor, you get lots of breaks but still probably don't make enough to have a very good quality of living...so, I'm glad I'm not dirt poor. I've been close enough to that but I can't seem to figure out a way to get filthy rich either so we can benefit from all those hidden tax perks.

Also, if I didn't see our government wasting so much money on things like...oh, IRAQ, maybe I wouldn't be so bothered. I mean think what we could have done wit the cash that's been spent on that mess!

Bitterboy, I'm happy to share a bottle of wine with a friend. Consider it a Superbowl present.

Finally, Little....way, I wondered if that was your son sitting with one of the wrestlers toward the end of the meet. He met the description you've told me and the first names matched (a parent sitting next to me mentioned his name). Seeing Peterson was definitely creepy. It did make my skin crawl a bit and he did look quite like the cowardly lion - eyes were a little less puffy than they had looked and he has more of a full beard going on now. He honestly looked tired. I commented to another mom that killing people must make it hard to sleep (allegedly killing people, that is....). I think the little ones were running him slightly ragged. I'll not comment further as I want to try to sound mature and like I'm not jumping to conclusions about his guilt or innocence. But, those who know me will probably already know what I think.
