I haven't bothered to look at the stats for this BB for many months, so I just took a peek. What a surprise!

Between 500 an 1200 unique individuals now visit the Message Board every day, On average, each visitor looks at about ten pages, making for a range of about 5000 - 12,000 "page views" per day.

And that's just the Message Board -- it doesn't include anything else under the glen-ellyn.com umbrella.

Oh -- and at this hour there are 641 members. I'm amazed! Thanks, everybody!

You're certain of these statistics?

Clam, owner of the most expensive roof in town, why would you blatantly question the word of our leader? While you outpost him by more than 2 to 1, he deserves your deference. Ted ignore him, he has clearly dented the Vodka bottle by this time of night.

I don't know how I've posted 1300+ things in 364 days. That's 3.69 per day...every day. Seems idiotic at best.

And, for the record, as much as I talk about drinking, those that know me will tell you that my stories may be exaggerated and that...even given my physical size...I am a total freakin' lightweight. Two martinis when I'm out to dinner and there had better be a bed nearby.

Absolutely.

But on the other hand... the stats don't actually count individual humans, but rather unique computers. So if you log in from work and later from home, the system sees you as two "individuals" for that day.

And -- if you post a reply or start a new topic -- considering all the little pop-up pages that are part of the process -- I'd guess that that counts for four or five pages views right there.

But still...

We're probably way up in numbers due to the highly creative fancy schmancy avatars we're all sporting now'adays.

Who wouldn't want to just gaze into the forums for that alone!
