I would have been very disappointed if the two Fans and the two Clams had not come out on top. After all this is a contest! I am impressed with the number of posts they can come up with hourly. I am still trying to break 1000!

Ted, in regards to comments in other threads about the clique-ish nature of the GEBB, can you break down: the total number of posts, and the percentage by screen name?

I don't dispute the clique-ish nature of the Board, I was just wondering about the extent of the clique.

IMO, no message Board is without a core group of posters who often go OT and appear to the lurker/newbie to be clique-ish. Message Boards without a core group tend to whither and die.

No. But I think any established group — online or real-world — appears to be clique-ish to newcomers.

One of the things I like about the people here is that you all are very open and welcoming to newbies. Those who choose to jump in with both feet quickly become beloved and respected “old -timers.” (Or something like that.) — Ted E.

I do not post a lot on this BB. When I do, I feel like I am answered like anyone else would be. Actually maybe better because Clam seems to receive a lot of insults. After the D41 ref when many posters banded together for its successful defeat, there is more comraderie between that group. But I do not feel they ignore others like a real clique would do.

Can it really be considered a core "group" when the main "group" is really the same person?
