Mairzy Doats And Dozy Doats and liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you? Yes! Mairzy doats And Dozy Doats and liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you? If the words sound queer, and funny to your ear, a little bit jumbled and jivey, Sing "Mares eat oats and does eat oats and little lambs eat ivy" Oh! Mairzy Doats and Dozy Doats and liddle lamzy divey A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you - oo? A kiddley divey too, wouldn't you?

This is TOO funny! Thanks for the link to the song and I adore the little icon eating popcorn! You all have a great sense of humor! Thank you to Clamato for humility and Happy Thanksgiving, fellow Glen Ellynites!

Oh, I am now officially ready for my family to visit. "Mares Eat Oats..." song brought back those old memories of my mom singing it to us and us all giggling our head off! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Dan: Neither do I. I listened to the song...and thought it was horrid. I was immediately glad that it was the first (and last) time I had ever heard it. Happy Thanksgiving.

I'm thinking you two might be too young. My parents were born in the 20's and sang it all the time.

I grew up in Indiana and my parents were born in '38 and '40. It's not the song that is great, it's having Mom sing it and it sounding like complete nonsense. Nothing makes a kid laugh harder than nonsense!
