I am in need of an accountant and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of someone who is good and reasonably priced. I am self employed so it would be helpful if the person is knowledgeable about this.

I always go to Schumann Finacial on Willow in Wheaton. 630-665-2152. We always do well with Bill, and he does our taxes, too.

I use Douglas Bowman, he just recently moved to Lombard on Highland. I don't know if he's accepting new clients, but he's fantastic at what he does! Has a lot of high-end clients as well....doesn't charge too much, either. I'm paying about the same for tax prep as I did when I went to Jackson Hewitt all those years ago.... I don't have his number handy, but you can look him up on Yellowpages.com OR, I believe he does individal/personal accounting as well, my company uses Walter J. Plank. He's good, though I don't know what he'd charge. I can find his number quite easily, if you're interested PM me. Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele

If you wait a bit longer to find an accountant, you may be able to get it done for half price. Like buying Christmas Lights at Soukups in March. How's that Hope & Change Working Out? Over 10% Unemployment
