Pick my dog up when it's fully baked. Gotta be somewhere up there. |

I'll wait until the silver paint dries first. |

I have not made it there... I'm sure MRS. Perplexed and the kids have. They go all the good places when I'm not there. Yea it is a small world. Heck we probably even went to school together here |

It's possible. I'll divulge age/graduation years if you will. |

Clam, is your new puppy coming from a breeder in Minocqua? I think I've seen ads in the Lakeland Times for Silver Labs.

The SW in Minocqua is slated to open in August of this year.
Love Trigg's. Their deli salads are head and shoulders above the SW in Rhinelander. And their liquor department is fantastic. Try some Spotted Cow Beer. Have you tried the Lake Tomahawk meat market? Killer beef jerky @ $20 per pound. |

Perplexed, I'm an '89 Grad of GBW. I think you graduated with my sister though.
Mrs. A...the liquor dept. at Trigg's fantastic! I get the Spotted Cow beer every time I'm up! And yes, Lake Tomahawk's meat market is really good...never tried the jerky. Has Mr. A taken you to Norwood Pines yet? It's just past the SW off of 70. |

Was she cute? |

It's my sister, so I wouldn't know!
But really, she was <and still is> quite a looker. When she is out with my 21 y.o. niece, people think they are sisters! |

Oh then I wouldn't know her... I was probably playing D&D |

Edgar, WI...just west of Wausau. '89 grad of GW, GER??? I really could be a sugar daddy to you. Uh, any chance you're a chubby-chaser? |
|||

|
GlenEllynite |
Well, she went for geeks so you never know! And I shudder when I think that I just found <and promptly threw out> some of my D&D Characters, some with many skill points too!!! |

I've got my own sugar, but I'm running low on flour. If you change it to flour daddy, you've got yourself a deal. Chubby? You've been eating too many cupcakes from Honey. I've seen you at the window, dark Joan Collins sunglasses on, a flask of milk strapped to your thigh, cream cheese frosting all over your face, the humiliation of being asked to leave after they've made the last-cupcake-call... |

I would disagree with this latter statement. Yes, Aldi owns Trader Joes, However, the Trader Joes we know today was started and in business before Aldi bought them. According to the book, The Trader Joe's Adventure, they pretty much run separately from Aldi. Check it out at the GE library. |

Aldi's does not own Trader Joe's. There was a recent Business Week article that got that wrong. It is true that one of the Albrecht family members now owns T.J.'s and yet another operates Aldi's, so you could say the owners are related, but not the two business concerns. Totally separate. As far as product sourcing on some items, there might be some connections (almost inevitable in retail grocery), but both retailers and vendors must remain mute on sourcing.
Trader Joe's began as Pronto Markets in California in the late 50's. Original owner Joseph Coulombe changed the name to Trader Joe's and began to add the specialty private label items they are known for today. Adding California wines to his stores was the first of many successful moves. There are now just less than 300 T.J. stores nationwide - 15 of them are in Illinois. |

My BIL graduated in '89. Perhaps you know him....he wasn't really an athlete or actor, or burnout or anything. I think he just sort of "did" high school. Nice guy though. I'll try to contact you and give you his name. "The most valuable things in life are not measured in monetary terms. The really important things are not houses and lands, stocks and bonds, automobiles and real state, but friendships, trust, confidence, empathy, mercy, love and faith. " -Bertrand Russell V. Delong |
