Bachrach Outlet operating at the former Changing Seasons location near Trader Joe’s (696 Roosevelt Road) on a temporary lease has signed a longer-term five year lease. Visit www.bachrach.com Phone: 630-469-4095
I had very high hopes that the owner would knock this dump down and rebuild something fabulous. Now we get to buy Coogi sweaters that the Highland Parkers didn't want...for five freakin' years.
What an eyesore. I wonder if the Changing Season sign will ever come down? Where is Jim Louthen when you need him? Although, to be honest, it appeared the last time I saw him that he may have bought his tie at the Bachrach outlet.

Clamato - wrong outlet - he clearly purchased that tie at the Disney outlet.
BTW, who the hell writes this piece of pabulum on a monthly basis? I am half-drunk (THG) and I have counted no fewer than five typos/grammatical errors and I'm only halfway through it. One of my faves is the "sleepware" that you'll find at Knickers.
And remember, when in doubt, always use the apostrophe..."The Duffy’s have combined 35 years of restaurant experience and Brian was raised in Glen Ellyn."
Could have been written in a more exciting fashion by my third-grader. Though I readily admit that he is an interesting kid and a very good writer.
This is part of our town's problem. Don't be fooled into thinking that it isn't. It's finally our time for Kathy and Judy, indeed. How old and out of touch are these people? "This is a great opportunity for our community to get this highlight." That could have been written better. No offense, Fish.
i'm not complaining.... but seems a bit strange the bike shop is closing down the space next to einsteins and moving to duck duck goose. seems like a weird spot to 1) park bikes and 2) do repairs. I understand that they got more space, but seems like a space on an end cap or adjacent to an alley would make their lives easier.
most of the time, people who bring their bikes in will bring them unrideable and in the back of their car/truck, hence the need for a side parking lot -- like what the have now! i'm seeing a summer where SUVs line up double parked on Main with their back doors swung open as they run their bikes in through the front door and sign their bikes in.
Parking lot in the back and a back door into the service area for dump and runs. Rich already figured that out.
The only drawback I see is that, yes, you are no longer next to the Prairie Path...but I don't think the majority of his business comes from that connection anyway.
I've seen what this shop sells...and have spent a fair amount of money there over the years...and I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the Bike Shop is one of the top tax generators in the CBD...perhaps behind a jewelry store or Mc & Miller.
Agree with Clam. I've been to the new space to check it out from the inside, front and back a couple times now. Not ideal, but a generous increase in needed space. Having been in the same business as Rich, I learned long ago there is no perfect location for bicycle retail. But yeah, that spot will work.
