to put this to bed, gemom2's style info is correct, as it pertains to the period. clam, you may be thinking about other punctuation. as far as the brits go, i could give a firkin's fox what they do. unless, of course, i'm posting on visitkent.co.uk

i'm still not sure why you've chosen heller's famous bombardier as a name. but i'll bet, were he alive today, joseph would smile broadly when reading posts like this one. very clever. the very reason folks come back to this BB time and again.

Correcting Gus is like correcting George Bush, except I like Gus and he often makes sense. Also, I know Gus doesn't give a rat's a$$ if his grammar or spelling is off. I tried for a while, but Grateful threatened me with bodily harm if I continued. I think he is on Gus's payroll. I was hoping Gus would throw huge sums of money my way (pocket change for Gus) in return for laying off, but that never happened.
lastly, fish, would you puuuleeeeze respond with a short, sarcastic retort? and try and punch it up with a tired quip about copper and/or, specifically, copper gutters. once done, i won't respond so it appears that you've one-upped me and, thereby, won the argument. i'll look foolish (your original wish, i believe) and after that we can go on posting like normal folks? does that sound fair? I'm sorry, you have me at a disadvantage. You are intelligent, quick-witted and able to mock me in a way that makes me cry without appearing to be mean. I was just having fun, but apparently you've grown weary of it. There, are you happy now that you’ve hurt my feelings? BTW, "normal folks" don't post.
I am a dyslexic agnostic insomniac. I lay awake at night wondering if there is a dog.

One of my favorite movies, plus I've lost count of how many times I've identified with Yossarian.

I was just in the CBD and noted that for over a month now, there has been a "stop work" order pasted to the front of Karmis Carpets. The oringinal bright orange sticker has faded to a pinkish color and no work has resumed. The Karmis family leases the space - I was surprised to learn from them. The building owner was sprucing up the place, but made the mistake of using vinyl cedar-look shake, apparently against zoning rules. While I would not personally put vinyl shakes on my home (more likely Hardiplank or similar), it actually looked pretty good, and seemed substantial. The old corrugated metal sheathing across the street has been painted over while this improvement project remains partially done.
What are the penalties and are there any timmelines for getting right with the code?
