I have to admit that I was a little skeptical at first about this place, but the more I go there and see what the things that they are doing, the more impressed I get.

For example, I recently found out that they have curb-side service. Last week, my wife called ahead and ordered a hot tea, drove up and sat in the comfort of her warm car while they brought her the tea. No fuss and much cheaper than Starbucks!

On their website, www.bwsnackery.com, I noticed that on their menu page, they have a list of organizations that they support in our community. Print off the coupon and a percentage of what you buy at B&W goes directly to the organization!

Now this is clearly another GE business owner that gets it. I'm happy to give them my business!

Just watch the sandwiches and popcorn. Maybe just stick with drinks and sweets.

How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year,
Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

I think that Tracey, the owner, would very much welcome your constructive feedback on the food. My experience there has been that she is very motivated and welcomes ways to make the Snackery a success.

This is a business that needs to stay in the CBD. It is attempting to offer the charm that makes a small town CBD appealing to outsiders and keeps our property values up.

I have also heard that they have funneled over $6k back into the community through donations.

Haven't had their lunch sandwiches lately, but had a breakfast sandwich this morning. It was yummy - of course anything with bacon on it is generally yummy :-)

What's wrong with the sandwiches? Granted, the charm of the place, along with the very enthusiastic helpful staff would probably make sawdust palatable, but I thought the sandwiches I have there were fine....not the best I've ever had, but since I was in the CBD and wanted a nice place to sit down, it worked out great.

I especially love the hot dogs there!

They are hot!

They taste good!

They are 100% Beef!

The condiments are Fresh!

They haven't been sitting in the hot sun all day

The relish isn't dyed extra green

The food service person doesn't smell sweaty

Oh, yeah they have a sink and can wash there hands!

Flys aren't crawling all over the prep area.

I really like hot dogs there!!

They have an awning. No need to shovel.

A professional company has been hired to shovel and salt the sidewalks along the Hillside and Main Street sidewalks at Bells & Whistles.

They need to be fired!!!

Why would someone who has 10+ teenagers on their payroll hire someone else to shovel the walks?

Sure you got your facts straight?

GEM-You really need to lay off B&W. Tracey has done a lot of good things for this community, you are only mortgaging your good will with the GE community by constantly going after her.

A teen or extra team member wasn't always around when it needed to be done, so after a few storms got help so there wasn't an accident/lawsuit. The teens and Juan take care of it in between and do the salting.

Yoss,

What are you talking about?! I'm her biggest fan (not to be confused with GEFan) and no doubt her absolute best customer.

I can assure you that there is no snow removal contract along Hillside. It doesn't make sense that Bells & Whistles would pay for the snow removal for the Kitchen Store, The "Antique" Store and the Hair Salon.

Also Yoss, you really should get your facts straight before you make unfounded accusations.

This evening I had a meeting at the library and decided to have dinner at B&W. With the bad weather, B&W wasn't exactly crowded when I got there, but the two young ladies greeted me enthusastically as though I were leading a crowd of hungry diners in. I had a very nice soup and sandwich combo, with a great cup of coffee.

A woman with two children came in as I was leaving, and they got the same warm welcome. IMO, B&W is exactly the sort of place that could made any shopping area a welcome place to visit.
