When I was kid, it was a Barone's. Same logo, but no relation to the GE one from what I remember.
Haven't stepped foot in there since it became several different places. That was 25-30 years ago, IIRC. Nonetheless, I know a single person that has been there and did not recommend it. I have never understood that concept. Isn't it sort of a Japanese-Brazilian joint? Soooooo many better places to go in this area these days than choosing to dine in Villa Park.
believe it or not the cuisine at fusion fire is italian/brazilian. . . whatever that means. i've never been, but pass it every day. the combo sounds a little too heavy to me.
Also, you absolutely have to look at the menu on the site. In particular, check out the exotic appetizer section.
lol. where's the italian part of the fusion? btw, four (4) separate reviews included this phrase: "me and my family." i believe these reviews might have been written by the same person.
5 stars on metromix too. review from metromix: --------------------------
Surely you've heard of those Brazilian steakhouses, where servers dressed gaucho-style serve you slice after slice of steaming steak, chicken and pork. Fusion Fire takes that concept and twists it, adding some Italian flair into the mix. Gauchos still serve more than 10 types of meat table-side, but the salad bar here includes pastas, cheeses and salads. The per-person dinner fee here is significantly cheaper than the downtown chains.
