Maybe Pickwick Plaza should be labeled blighted too.

Those darn gas prices...

Speaking of catering... anyone been over to the old Europeon Deli guy's new place? It's hidden in a little office park on 22nd across from the Lombard Roller Rink. Same good sandwiches. Seemed like they were pretty busy with catering.

They should move to the bells/whistles location.

Heard that the owners of Ivy in Wheaton might be interested in the B&W location - putting in some kind of fancy wood-burning pizza place, run by their current chef. As I love Ivy - and also, pizza!- I have to say I'm intrigued.

Worst margherita pizza ever, though I've heard their sausage pizza is very good.

OMG, that hot dog cart is hysterical! Does that mean our celery-salted summertime hot dogs are gone now???? Eek

Wait....we're getting a Tilted Kilt? You mean, there might actually be a bar with good, loud music on the weekends? I might ACTUALLY get my friends who don't have kids to come out to GE sometime?? Razz

I sure hope not. This is a quiet bedroom community. We need our rest. Wink

That was a joke, I think - about Tilted Kilt, etc.

We don't have a building big enough & ugly enough for one of those places! (Not to mention LOUD enough.)

Lol @ DTM.

I know it was a joke, I was just hoping *sigh*

The majority of our community does happen to be of the "quiet bedroom" variety, but there is a larger than most people think portion that's looking for a decent nightlife.
