Is there such a thing around here for thin crust? We used to really like Martino's.
Lou Malnati's is too far.
Is Papa Severio's good?
Rosati's is ok and of course Giordanos is great for thick crust.

We're thin crust pizza starved plus nothing like having the pie appear at the door.

Papa Saverio's is Rosati's. Some sort of family break up but use the same recipes and supplies.

Don't rule Giordano's out for thin crust. I happen to like their thin crust better than the traditional Chicago-style, and prefer it to just about to anyone else around here. But I'm a pizza freak - could eat it every day - and also like Barone's and Papa Saverio's. Gino's East in Wheaton also delivers to Glen Ellyn, and they're very good.

We like Amato's Pizza. They have a few locations. Closest one around here in on Bloomingdale Road and Army Trail.

Their coupons - available online - are usually a pretty good deal. One 18" Jumbo will easily feed 4-5 adults.

Forgot about Gino's east in Wheaton and didn't know they delivered to GE!
Gianarios in Lombard sounds excellent for thin crust plus it sounds like a local place which can be really good depending on personal pizza preference. Extra thin sounds good- Being diabetic to truly chow down on Pizza- less crust is better- thus the quest. Amatos we haven't tried either. The website looks like it's a good place to take family + friends.

The Amato's on Bloomingdale Road is pick-up or delivery only. I don't think they even have one table in there.

It's almost like someone starts this thread every year to begin an annual battle.

Go downtown to Piece.

Papa Savario's ain't what it used to be. Though I haven't been in 4+ years...was downright inedible.

Oddly, Marinella's has some fairly semi-authentic Napoli-style pizzas. Very good. I am not kidding.

In case anyone was going to mention Curly's pizza (doubtful) forget it, they're closed.

I believe Curly's is still open. Curly's pizza (by Vittorio's) is closed.

Wow - that Gionorio's place has white pizza. I haven't had that since I lived in New Orleans. I can't wait to order one.

Actually, it's probably been three years or so since I ordered from Papa Saverio's, so I suppose I shouldn't speak to its quality. I had no idea that Curly's pizza had closed (but then, I'd never ordered from them) but can vouch that the original Curly's is open, as Proud Hubby & I just ate there this evening.

"Too far?" What is too far if you are looking for a greatest pizza on earth? Round trip to get it, one hour and 20 minutes. Drive down, and when you get 20 minutes out, call them. Trust me, it is worth every second. For the best thin crust pizza on earth, go here:

Rico's

Last year, they were looking for a western suburb location and I believe they still are.

First Santa Fe and now Marinella's. What's happening to you Clam Man? I'm losing confidence.

Piece
1927 W. North Ave.

New Haven style pizzas...pretty close to Napoli style. Amazing stuff. Typically, the best of this or that is not worth the effort of the drive...as Bob Greene said, "never travel far for what someone else considers the World's greatest pizza"...but, IMO, this is worthy if you are downtown. Avoid eating those stupid, stuffed manhole covers that we seem to think is pizza in this town.

We really like the extra thin crust from Roberto's on Spring Road in Elmhurst.

This stuff. To each his own, but I find these things offensive and largely inedible. Globs of cheese and tooth-shattering crust...just isn't for me. I suppose you can eat it if you like it. Smile

Not sure who the creeper is holding the pie...but he doesn't look strong enough to do so. Those things are freakin' heavy.
