FYI Just saw the PBS Chicago channel 11 show Check Please. It features regular people who review Chicago area restaurants. One of the restaurants they did tonight is Adelle's over there on College Ave. in Wheaton. Each of the three guest reviewers loved it. Only one of the people on the show looked like someone I would trust for a restaurant reco (that's just me) but even that guy said he was going back again.
Adelle's is very good. Been there a few times. Always happy with the meal and wine.

Yeah, but it's College Avenue in Wheaton so it really isn't THAT far - especially on a nice night.

My sole complaint about that place is that there is no restaurant in the world that should be selling pot roast, meat loaf, and braised short ribs during the month of July. Yet there they are...summer after summer. She refuses to lighten up the menu.
MI87 - Thanks for shaking the dust off of some brain cells and taking me back to junior high. Quite the song from quite an album - at least it seemed so at the time!

He's kind of a younger-looking, more hairy Clam, no?
Yes, my own and it's so simple, I couldn't imagine ordering it out. Again...I am not criticizing your decision...just wondering. As a rule I try to order something that I wouldn't normally throw together at home. Just curious...perhaps they do have a fabulous recipe that beats all others.

The memory floodgates have opened and I recall Mr. Loaf's vocal stylings - How many can cleverly come up with the rhymes "doubly blessed" and "barely dressed?"
Clam is better groomed, for sure. MeatLoaf was usually rather sweaty and mopping his brow, wasn't he???
Wow - from 1975 - that's awesome! You're better than IMDb!
BTW - My husband ordered the other meatlof and liked it at Adelle's - and I make a very good meatloaf, too. We went with friends from the city and they also enjoyed their meals.
My wife and I went to Adelles on Saturday with another couple. By all accounts, all meals were great. Try the flat iron steak with mole or the whitefish...I'm 2 for 2 with both. We love the place.
