What makes you so sure? There is a lot more competition for fast casual Italian in Oak Brook than GE (none?), so they have that going for them. Of course, Michael's Soon to be Famous was not.
Not "Michael's", it was "Michael's Soon to be Famous", from the son of the owner of the Portillos chain who ventured off on his own. Was only around for a year or two. Had to change the name I believe because of a lawsuit from Michael's as a matter of fact. Not sure of any of the details though - just what I heard at the time.
My guess is that they will not open in GE any time soon....they are down from 9 franchises/company owned stores to 6 in the Chicagoland area. They seem to be contracting.

I saw a Go Roma van driving around at lunch today and it jogged my memory. I just can't remember where I read they were moving in...chamber of commerce maybe? Their website doesn't have an 'opening soon' in GE...
Conflicted, I apologize for not specifying. I knew what you were talking about, though. There used to be one at an ice rink somewhere (either in Addison or somewhere in Kane County, I don't remember) and they used to occupy space in the Comcast building in Schaumburg. GREAT turkey wraps, though a bit over-priced.
Should I give up, or should I just keep chasing pavements....even if it leads nowhere - Adele
