Oh, come on Clam, everyone knows you are not that easy to replace. Smile

By the way, my daughter said you were walking and waving at us yesterday afternoon/evening when I was driving a mini full of girls from practice....sorry I didn't see you!

Amy, you had a 'Clam sighting.' Next time, tell the girls to keep their hands inside the windows (better yet, just close 'em / put up the top) and let them know not to feed him. He may follow you home. Big Grin

Mister Sister??? Is that what I get for calling you cupcake?

Sorry, have fun picking up the pooch on Sunday. If you would have gone on Friday to pick him up, you could have had Fish Fry (priorities!).

I will try and remember to pick up some European trinket for the new pup. Maybe something from an Amsterdam Coffeehouse? A 'catnip' filled dog toy?

GER, the kind of "catnip" they have in Amsterdam coffeehouses will get you 10-20 here in the states. Then you will have some guy named Buba calling you Cupcake.

Perplexed, I already have that with my home life, so it wouldn't be a big change.

BTW, I read that the Coffeehouses are having stricter limitations put on them, to the point that they are being told they have to be 'smokefree' like the restaurants sometime this year. WTF?

Okay, but do you look good in stripes?

If Amsterdam goes smoke free then anyplace can do it. I think every Dutch person I know smokes (cigarettes not the funny stuff).

OK, you've got me. It's hard to pull off stripes, especially horizontals. No 'catnip' dog toy for Pooch Clamato. You're just no fun Perplexed. Wink

HMPF!

1. hmpf

The sound one makes in response to something peculiar that has just occurred or has just been said. Most often used when irritated. Most often a natural response/reaction.

1) I thought I had a $5 bill in my wallet but it's not here .... hmpf.

2) Val: Just got an email from Sunny. Ted: hmpf

My winking Emoticon should have averted the HMPF. But to make you feel better, you are fun Perplexed, you really, really are!

Oh, and just so this doesn't go much farther into the hijacked stage, I love Honey's Caprese Benedict!!!

Ate at Honey's with an old friend today. The specials menu had a grilled brie with apple-smoked bacon sandwich. My friend had that and said it was delicious. I ordered three of the market sides for $10.95. I had the cream of artichoke soup (OH MY GOSH - SOOOO GOOD), the balsamic glazed green beans, and a bow tie pasta with a walnut and pesto sauce. Great meal! We had a very nice chat with Elizabeth and I would say it's safe to return, Clam! Definitely try some of the specials. Also, I concur with GER - the Caprese Benedict is excellent.

The hubby and I went recently and ordered the market sides as well. Both of our soups were divine. He had the free-range chicken noodle and I had a potato and chive. There was a lot of meat in the chicken noodle soup - a meal's worth, really. The asparagus w/ a lemon sauce, was very good, too. Smile

I ate there with some friends and my mini burgers were excellent and the fries were also quite tasty. It is safe to return. They do read this board.

I am fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world.

They just went through a pretty rough period and the quality of goods coming from the kitchen was not on par with the price. I would say it's there now.

I went two weeks ago and had this Salmon Fish and Chips which was really, really excellant.

The food is really good... still need to work on the service. Just takes too long to get drinks, etc. and the hiring of such young talent is reflected in their inexperience in being able to manage multiple tables.

I went on Saturday for the first time ever (I know - bad me) just for a treat, not a meal. One double chocolate cupcake for me, one flower cookie on a stick for my 5 year old.

Half the cookie went in the trash ("I just wanted some of it, Mom") and while I didn't have to choke down the cupcake, it was fine (even though half of it stuck to the wrapper) I couldn't help but think: what's the big deal?

Kinda made me sad . . .

Yeah, I feel like they would rather have the cupcakes look pretty than have them come out of their wrapper easily.... too bad.
Though the strawberry ones are delicious! (Unfortunately they don't always have them.)

I have found their cookies tasty-when available. It tends to be hit or miss on whats available, if they don't have any, I just walk over to Flour Barrel.

We stopped in Honey Saturday while out for an evening stroll. We went first to try the Clean Coffee place, but they had closed for the night. Two lattes to go from Honey - mine a special order, of course - and both were very, very good. That really took the chill off of the evening. Smile
