We went with friends from Michigan last Saturday. These two actually had heard about Bistro Monet before they moved to Michigan a year ago, when they lived in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. They kept wanting to try it, even though they were 2.5 hours away! See, there is something to becoming the 'restaurant capital of the western suburbs!'
Our dinner and service was truly amazing. Very 'old school' service, excellent cocktails, reasonable French wine ($30 per bottle). After having one bottle of the wine, we were all hesitant to get another bottle, so the waiter said he would open another bottle for us and just charge us for what was consumed, which turned out to be about 2-glasses...very accommodating in my book.
At the end of the evening, Michele the chef/owner, came out to great all of the tables to make sure everything was satisfactory. Impressive. We will be back.
