Well....if it helps to know that I have never seen anyone in there...ever, then this may not come as a surprise.

Not to dance on their grave...BUT...Tracy/Tracie at BWS gets her coffee from some orgainc place in Crystal Lake, and as used to and as much as I enjoy SBUX burnt to a crisp roast...this shizzle is exceptional. I will be buying my java from her on the weekends.

Now if they could just figure out how to fill a 16 ounce cup with coffee in under 4 minutes. Big Grin

Speaking of BWS, I urge all of you to drop what you are doing this instant and go pick up one of her pumpkin scones w/cream cheese frosting. Go. Now.

I think my daughter was their only customer.

That place just missed the mark. The owner was weird and creepily religious. The coffee was nothing special.

Something more hip & liberal would do much better with the HS kids in my opinion. Less creepy is always welcome too.

Agreed, HB.

There is a place in Evanston named Kafein just south of campus that was always packed. Competed toe to toe with Starbucks. My all-time favorite coffeehouse is in Kalamazoo... Water Street Coffee Joint ...which is a great escape when I am visting my in-laws. These kinds of places would do very well pretty much anywhere.

I hope my in-laws don't read this.

I did some time at a buddy's place in Linx Park called Bourgeois Pig when I got out of school. Another great coffee joint.
