MB, big fan. You have some great and creative sandwiches and your side dishes are equally tasty. Boars Head meat rocks, so you rock. I just wish I worked closer so that I could grab lunch from your establishment more often.

Is this the place on Crescent? I'm not familiar with it, so I wasn't certain....

anyone know how much they charge per pound for their typical deli meats? I am tired of being gouged by jewel and dominicks....

Nevermind, found their deli price list online. Guess I'm sticking with Valli's.

Yes thanx Taxpayer...it is Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm....Thanks again for your interest.

Yes DTM we are more expensive than Valli....We use Boars Head which is a fantastic product..I just don't have the buying power to get the product cheaper as they do having numerous locations....We are a local merchant and we need your support...

I'm sure it's great quality....but it's WAY out of my price range Frown

I wish you guys luck (especially in this economy where oftentimes quality suffers in lieu of cheaper prices). As a local business, I wish I could offer you direct support. Anyway, good luck again.

Boar's head deli products are worth the extra $$$.

Michael, can you do a "create a sandwich?" There is a deli in Traverse City ( Folgarelli's )that makes and absolutely killer sandwich and it would be much cheaper to come to your place than to drive all the way up there. Smile It has something to do with Rochefort cheese, balsamic vinegar, sundried tomato and turkey...

Oh my goodness, yes, the pretzel chicken at European Market! Yummy, yummy! I love that place, I'm just not much of a lunch person, unfortunately; I work at home, and pretty much make do with a yogurt in my PJ's. Otherwise, I know I'd eat there much more often and I really do recommend it to anyone looking for a great deli sandwich or homemade pasta.

And I may have to venture out soon to get a pretzel chicken sandwich!

Throw a coupon or special offer on the board and see if you can get some glowing reviews. I'd love a reason to try your eggplant parm. Smile

We bought all the meats and cheeses for a fantastic antipasto plate at European Deli for our holiday party and it won rave reviews! We have also bought lasagne and ravioli which were great. I think MB's Mom is the Italian Chef that makes these home made treats!! I will definately stop in for the lunch special.

Oh, hey, MB you forgot to mention that one of the winners of Glen Ellyn's inaugural Backyard BBQ Competition used your prosciutto to take the "Best Dish" category. Fresh ingredients - it's what makes the difference. Smile

What? Are they closing?

I went in a month ago to get a sandwich at lunch time, after reading the appeals here. I've always enjoyed the food but so rarely ever go out for lunch. At that time, I have to admit, the place was so bare, hardly any of the extra groceries they used to have, and only 1 person behind the counter so that while there were only 2 of us waiting for our orders, it took a very long time to get them. Much too long if you had only a short time for lunch (like the high school crowd).

Overall, I had the feeling then that they were struggling and it was just kind of sad and forlorn. Hope I'm wrong, because I did like the food but as I said, I so rarely leave my house for something like lunch.

Looks like they are "re-branding" as "The Panini Shop".

Love their sandwiches.
