Remember the good old days, when the owner was that mean man and his wife who always yelled at the kids?

Even though I haven't been in there in years, I do hope it remains a candy shop, too. It's nice to have that kind of continuity.

I hope it stays a candy shop, too. My kids love to take their pocket money there and spend it. A better memory builder than taking the same money to Walgreens.

I wish I had the money and time to put into something like that. I would absolutely buy it and keep it a candy shop if I could. That's the kind of place that makes the CBD special.

Mama's dead-on with the memory-making, too. We grew up spending our pocket change on candy at the Perry Drug Store or Jewel....NOT much to remember about that.

My wife & I have purchased the Sweet Shoppe.

With our youngest off to middle school this year, my wife has been looking for more "significant” employment, but was intent on finding something that would keep her in Glen Ellyn and at home with the kids before and after school. She had enjoyed working a few hours a week at the Sweet Shoppe the last two and a half years, so when the previous owner mentioned that she wanted to sell the business, it was a fairly obvious conclusion!

The business will remain the Glen Ellyn Sweet Shoppe and it will remain the quaint candy store it has been for nearly 40 years. Please be sure to stop in and visit!
