"The purpose of the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce is to foster and promote the business and professional interests of Glen Ellyn and adjoining areas, and to promote the welfare of the Glen Ellyn Community."
After reading the above mission statement, it is my interpretation that the GE COC wishes to better the community through various ways. One can only assume that creating a pleasant and soothing business environment in the village's various business districts is part of that endeavor. I challenge for you, good sir and lady, to set an example for the rest of the community and work and the facade of your business. I can only assume that you are merely tenants of this property, but people with your depth of experience and connections in this village absolutely must have the knowledge and persuasive personalities to sway your landlord to do something, anything, with that building. Consider it your civic and professional duty to be a trailblazer bringing about positive change to the community. If I am not mistaken, there is still a $5,000 credit available from your friends at the EDC. If the two of you do not think that it is important, why would anyone else feel the need to improve their buildings? Give this some thought. I, for one, will thank you.
