I've noticed a lot of sprucing up around town. There's a big brick building on the northside of Pennsylvania that is looking good. It had it's windows replaced just a bit ago. Anyone know anything about that?
That was originally built as The Phone Company, 'way back when.
In recent years it was owned by Carl Kuhn, the retired lawyer who was killed in Bartlett a month o so ago.
Until a few years ago, the Chamber and EDC offices were in there, but their leases were not renewed because a developer had plans for a major renovation (teardown and new build, as I recall.)
I suspect that — because of the times — the current work is simply a minor rehab to make the property rentable for office space. The interior had become pretty rundown and sad. —Ted E.

Not minor....unless we are talking about GE Fan money....then it qualifies as minor.
