We were heading north to find Roger with only a half hour to spend, when two trains in a row blocked our path. Nothing worse than rushing a martini when you have so little time, so we diverted to CAB's instead. Nice martini. So far the best Dirty Martini downtown, without giving Roger a try.
Today is Friday and the the thought of cheating on Roger has crossed my mind. Makes the decision a whole lot easier when you are given no choice but to drink a see-through, through yellow frosted glass.
Oh and Jombl, you left one out:
I like my martinis like I like my breasts - big and dry, not small and bruised.

The only reason we have not been to Cabs is because we were told that they did not have a liquor license, it was a byob type of thing. Must not be the case.

Finally bumped into Roger. I was served a very respectable dirty martini, but I will have to do some back to back testing to decide which is better, Cabs or Roger.
After having my fill of olives and brine, I was treated to some interesting conversation with Roger, and was served a delicious lemon drop martini. Well, technically, I was served two or three delicious lemon drop martinis, I liked them so much. I was encouraged to return by descriptions of a few other concoctions I have yet to sample.

Yes, it was. I don't know if I am being picky, but a clear colored martini really should be in a clear glass. One should not have to stand over your glass to see what your olive has been stuffed with? Those colored and frosted glasses should be reserved for the rest of the colored concoctions that share the martini name.
Knowing which drinks belong to which glass is key to serving a quality drink. I am not going back there until Tony or Roger purchases the appropriate stemware.

I suggest a GEBB martini pub crawl this Friday. We visit a few places, sample martini's of like kind and publish the results. Call it a service to the community.
Oh Jeez, that sounds fun. With all the gloom and doom of the economic situation, I think we all need a drink. Problem is, doing the math, I could easily spend $40 on drinks alone (that's only about 4 martinis!) Whereas, I have a bottle of vodka in my freezer already paid for.
Sounds like way too much preparation, budget and work for the Chamber. There would need to be meetings, event chairpersons, work....etc. Ain't gonna happen.
Maybe some retailers will sponsor you.
I'll phone some acquaintances that I have at the Tallahassee Tassel Company and see if they are interested. They sponsored one of mine a few years back.
