Tried to find a topic to post this in and the "service" one was closed, so, I'll start anew.
Another downtown business has seen the last of me. I could not believe the way I was treated today when shopping in a store that I have spent ALOT of money in. You don't have to walk around straightening everything we touch and moving things away from my children. As of today, I will not return to this store and future children clothing dollars and children gift dollars will be spent in downtown Naperville and at Oak Brook. Sad but true.
Mom, (BTW, kinda weird typing out your BB name) - Although I understand your frustration, the retail/service industry is really tough. What I have found is that many times the store is not even aware of something wrong, just that people walk away upset and then tell friends. One thing I have tried lately, with very nice results, is to e-mail the business and state your dissatisfaction. At least they know and have the opportunity to make it up to you. If not, well your off to Naperville and Oak Brook and they lose you, your friends as a customer. Just a thought, Mom.
I had that experience twice at the childrens store downtown. The first time I blew it off, the second time did it for me. I do typically share my thoughts with the owner/management but come on, be friendly to your clients, or lose them! It's a no brainer!
