LOL! They get 8 runs in the 2nd...then give up a snowman in the 3rd.

Idiots.

I hate the Yankees.

I was in town earlier and saw one of the former F n' F employees looking in the window; has anyone else noticed all of the hand prints on the front windows from people peering in? Makes you wonder if they are looking in out of curiosity, or they are looking in because they didn't know that the place had closed.
And Clam, you are not the only one who hates that NY team. At least the pale hose pulled it out.

I wish I could blame it on drinking. Just sloppy lately. Paddle season is approaching. Are you ready?

Yoss, we think the food and drinks at Vittorio's are awesome. We ate there tonight and again were very impressed with the food and service. We sat at the bar for about 30 minutes waiting for another couple. Yes there is smoking, but I didn't notice it. There was a couple with 3 kids in the bar area also, so I assume that the lack of smoke smell was not our imagination. However, we were there about 6:30ish. We had eaten there when they first opened and were not impressed. We recently decided to try it again and now we are hooked. No, there are no plasmas, but the tv is on in the bar. Give it a try. The owner really cares and my husband is quite impressed with the way he was so present during the evening.

So.....what's the best guess on the "For Lease" sign in the Firkin window? Doesn't jibe with what Mr. Pressman told us.

I wonder what happened.

I guess he had spelled it out pretty clearly in an earlier post. I didn't catch the fact that the deal went south. My bad.

I also notice that I am now officially unable to buy mushy popcorn in town. One good thing about that place (and it wasn't the popcorn) was that they had Sherman's ice cream...which the boys liked. Now they can only get it in Michigan.

I regret that I didn't find the Firkin until last month. The Alpha King and Goose Island Matilda had me coming back several times. Too there isn't another smoke free restaurant with a better than average beer selection near by.

I guess it's Charlie's (Wheaton) or Chef Paul (Lisle) for me. Frown

Amy,
I would try to get money back for that gift cert. - that should be honored some way; otherwise, that's stealing in my book.
