Well, my son got it in June and suprisingly hasn't been to the Popcorn place to redeem it. Oh well...it wasn't much money but I guess the fact that my son hadn't spent it is testimony to why they went out of business. It was a cute place though.

Your brain is mushy. Their caramel flavored popcorn was awesome...now I have to find another popcorn place to get stocking stuffers for xmas...

Looks like a lot of activity at the Firkin site tonight. The "for rent" sign is down, and there were a lot of people in there cleaning and working.

I can only hope something similiar will open. Went to Entourage in Schaumburg tonight-it was amusing and sad, lot's of cougars and older men willing to hunt them. Thank God I'm happily married.

I wonder if it's just being cleaned up to make it more attractive to potential buyers? I stopped by this morning and someone is in the process of removing the window decals which would explain why the For Sale sign is down. I hope the place is being prepared to re-open, but it seems odd that new owners didn't come up on Clam's radar.

It's true! The sale went through yesterday.
The new owners plan to open back up as soon as the licensing is complete. Should be about three weeks. The new business will be called The Tap House Grill.
There should be some familiar faces working there as well.

I'm whole again. BTW-You should let them know about the GEBB folk. If they get good reviews from us (especially Clam)things could start out well for them. Any insights as to what the menu will feature? How are Jaime and Payton?

What ever happened to the Fox and Hound that was supposed to occupy the space in the Jewel strip mall? There was activity in there initially when talked about on this site, but then there has been no movement....
