I had no idea this wonderful gem of a restaurant existed until last night. Hubby took me there for Valentine's Day and it was amazing. The ambience is very romantic, I thought, with lovely lighting and intimate seating. But I could see how some might not like how close the tables are to each other. Still, I'd rather dine like this than like you do at Honey, which is just so cavernous and everyone's so far apart from each other. Praga has a very European atmosphere in this way.

And the food was to die for! They had a 4 course Valentine's Day dinner, and every course was awesome. I had a goat cheese and onion tart, lobster and shrimp bisque, lamb chops in an amazing wine sauce with a parsnip/potato gratin which was so delicate. Then of course, had to finish with a duo of chocolate mousses. The wine list was good and didn't break the bank, either.

All in all, I was totally surprised to discover this place just right up St. Charles Rd., just west of Main Street Lombard. I highly recommend it.

They also do private parties. Last we checked with them, Saturday afternoons 1:30-4:00 for $18 a person.

I too think it is a great place. It's even better in the summer when you can dine on St. Charles....well....it's not ideal but it's nice.

One of the better restaurants in the area. Reasonable wine list that doesn't have the marked up "name" labels. A fairly unique menu.

We will be going back.
