I was absolutely dreading going to the Buddy Holly Story at Drury. Food was decent and reasonably priced . . . and the full bar made the show seem like it was excellent. At 45, I was easily the youngest person there. I think Oak Brook requires them to have an ambulance and paramedics on site for every show.

Dinner theater is is not, but good local theater at North Central College. Go see Sweet Charity, featuring Glen Ellyn's own Becky Messerschmidt. You can take you pick of dinner in Naperville and walk to the show. Only a few shows left, it's lots of fun, and Becky is great.
COD has great stuff too - only no dinner. There's booze though.. Buffalo Theater is great. BTE
Lincolnshire is great, worth the drive - really. It isn't that far. It's well before Great America. lincolnshire
candlelight is now closed - boo
How I wish, how I wish you were here. We're just two lost souls Swimming in a fish bowl, Year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
Holy Cr*@! You blink and you miss it as you drive by on Park.
