Please visit Floor-O-Pedics located:
546 Duane St. Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 and ask about Foresta Waterproof Flooring. Ideal for rooms prone to flooding, especially basements! |

Iryl at FP showed me this product a few months back. Seemed like a good idea vs. carpet if you get flooded out every few years. I think the stuff is made of plastic, but looks like wood.

I went to the company website and am intrigued.
Not for my basement, but for a bathroom. I've always liked the concept of wood floors in the bathroom, but the two seem diametrically opposed. How wood like does it look? The bathroom I'm thinking of has real wood just outside the door in the hall; I wonder if the difference would be too obvious. |

i've had real wood in a bathroom for 12 years...NO problems! just keep rugs down...and watch around the toilet (sorry, but it had to be said!)

Really? Is it in a bath with a tub and/or shower? I've seen it in powder rooms before, but never in a full bathroom with all its moisture (and steamy air) potential. Hmmm . . .
